a new project
I ‘ve installed a message board on my web site, but I haven’t given out the URL yet. Basically all I have yet to do is decide on topics. Of course I’ve got some ideas, but nothing final yet. If anyone has suggestions, let me know. It could be cool place for misfits like myself to exchange a few words, or whoever wants to stop by.
Oh, prabhu, you are certainly no misfit. I think that you are a very honest person who asks honest questions. Too bad that you have not gotten honest answers. So, I don’t think that you are the misfit.
I am horrified with what is going on with the child abuse issue in ISKCON. Many times this issue is shoved aside for “more important” topics such as guru succession.
I am not saying that the topic of guru-tattva is not important. It is. But Child Abuse is an ongoing problem in ISKCON. And devotees don’t seem to want to talk about it.
I find this so weird.
So, would you considered adding a topic about child abuse. Specifically how prominent devotees who had abused children are still very prominent in this institution?
I don’t seem to understand why this is allowed to go on.

I have two more suggestions for topic for us “misfits.”
1. How about the fact that Hare Krishna devotees do not date. When two devotees are attracted to each other, and start going out. It is expected that they should marry. In fact, the boy friend or girl friend is called the “fiancé.” If the realtionship doesn’t work out, then the woman must marry the second guy she goes out with, otherwise she is considered some kind of “whore.”
2. Second topic. The rule of no sex in marriage unless the marry couple are to “pro-create.” So, if the married couple are not ready to have a child, then they can’t have sex. Or if they already have enough kids, they then must become celibate. In other words, if a couple wants to have sex, then they better be ready to have tons of kids.
